Is there any cost to have a rental tankless water heater installed?

In some cases, there may be costs depending upon installation considerations such as the required location of the tankless water heater and the size of the existing gas line.

Will installing a tankless water heater save money?

You will save approximately 30% of the energy previously consumed by your storage tank water heater assuming no lifestyle changes. It’s important to note that of your total natural gas costs your water heater represents 20%.

Are tankless water heaters environmentally friendly?

Since tankless water heaters are more efficient and only heat water when it’s needed they save energy!

Are tankless water heaters safe?

In order to operate, tankless water heaters require a perfect air/gas mixture. That means they won’t soot up or produce excessive carbon monoxide. Sensors around the unit will shut it down if it gets too hot.

Will I get instant hot water if I install a tankless water heater?

Tankless water heaters will heat up water as soon as it’s turned on, however, the cold water between the tank and your taps still has to travel through the pipes in the house to get to the fixture. You will notice a few seconds of cold water coming out of the fixture before the hot water arrives at the tap.

Also, a tankless water heater needs a minimum flow to get the unit to operate. If you just turn on the tap slightly you may find it doesn’t turn on. You need at least .66 gallons per minute to have the unit heat up the water flowing through it.
