Our Steps to Make Direct Energy Accessible to Everyone

Up to Date

This Web site is continually updated with our latest products, services and related information.

Accessibility

At Direct Energy we are working hard to provide services and products that are helpful to all our customers; and our Web site is no exception.

This Web site has been designed to be as accessible as possible and to be compatible with the types of adaptive technology, such as screen readers, used by people with disabilities.

Browsers

You may achieve better results by downloading the latest version of Internet Explorer, or Netscape for Windows; or Safari, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla for Mac. Older browsers may experience minor presentation issues.

For an optimum experience, we recommend downloading the latest version of Internet Explorer or Netscape.

Navigation

The site has been designed to make it as easy and quick to navigate as possible. The Selector or Home page allows you to choose a region. Within a region, specific pages are accessible via the menu, or navigation, at the left side of the window.

To select another region, follow the relevant prompt near the bottom of any Web page (see below).

In the *Your Home: Texas* region you can switch languages by clicking the language toggle at the top right of the window, which will navigate to the appropriate homepage.

The *Media Relations* and *Careers* links apply to all regions, and each one opens in a new browser window.

Font Sizes

You may change the font size of this document to your preference through your browser.

In Internet Explorer select View>Text Size and your preferred point size.

In Netscape select View>Text Zoom and your preferred percentage size.

Stylesheets

You may import a personal stylesheet to this Web site. In Explorer:

  1. Select Tools>Internet Options>Accessibility
  2. Select one or more of the 3 checkboxes to Ignore: Colors, Font Styles or Font Sizes
  3. To change your style sheet: a) select the checkbox 'Format document using my style sheet'; b) browse to your style sheet; c) click OK
In Netscape:
  1. Select Edit>Preferences>Appearance
  2. Specify your colours and fonts

Adobe PDF

A .pdf (portable document format) file is a small, secure document that appears on your computer in its original design through the Acrobat Reader program. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free.
