About Direct Energy Power-To-GoSM in Texas
- There is no deposit and no credit check required.
- Once your order is completed, you will receive a payment number by SMS text or email.
- Make your first payment immediately after receiving your payment number to
activate your account. You can pay at a pay station or online.
Note: If you do not make your first payment within 10 days, your pending enrollment will be closed and you will have to re-enroll.
- Direct Energy will send you daily electricity usage communications by SMS text or email.
- Your electricity service will begin within 3-7 business days days (or sooner if your service address has a smart meter).

an Advanced Meter), and an activated SMS text capable phone or an active email address to receive your daily
electricity usage communications. Additionally, you cannot be a Critical Care or Chronic condition patient.

Direct Energy Power-To-GoSM is a variable electricity price product with an Energy Charge and a daily Base Charge. Your electricity price may vary day to day if there are changes to Transmission Distribution Utility (TDU) delivery charges or regulatory charges, or changes in law that impose new or modified fees that are out of our control. In addition, the electricity charge and daily Base Charge may change up to once a month at our discretion; however, each change during the month will not increase more than 30% from your previous period's charge.
* Energy rates are based on an average monthly use of 2,000 kWh/month and factor in a daily customer charge.
